“Why you are asking would anyone chose to shoot with an iphone 4, especially someone with all the toys at their disposal? Well the challenge to be honest. Can something so small, with so many limiting functions be used to shoot a film and be made to not look like it was shot on the iphone? I think so and so do my collaborators on this project the Reece brothers. They came to me a couple of days ago and asked if I would be interested in working on this. I thought about it, asking myself “do i really want to try and shoot something proper on such a limited device?” and the answer was why not! I know I am going to dying to go back to my 5Dmkii after this and forgive the flaws it has…but this will be fun. A huge challenge but one I am very much looking forward to…This is a short film, I couldn’t imagine doing this with a feature as I would see no point as you would simply be handicapping yourself but as a short film, the idea of making this device work for that length will be fun.”
